An ocean-view vacation rental in Yelapa

“Amazing place if you’re looking for privacy, an incredible view, and aren’t afraid of a few stairs. As in quite a few stairs. We’re just north of 50 and had no problem with the stairs. There was someone to meet us at the pier and it was great to have help carrying luggage. Excellent communication before, during, and after our stay. Upon booking I was worried the place may be too big for just the two of us but it was laid out perfectly for two and was clean and cozy. Great property. We had done day trips before to Yelapa but it was nice to spend three nights there.”

“Our third trip to Yelapa, we can easily say this visit was our favorite. CG is a beautiful property surrounded by lush jungle. Only standing on the massive main balcony can one truly realize how breathtaking it really is. Private surroundings, incredible sights/sounds of wildlife and clear views of the ocean. Each morning was spent drinking coffee and whale watching!

However, the private sanctuary does come at a cost. The trek up to CG is a lot. We are active 50y people that enjoy hiking, camping, etc. There are LOTS of stairs up a pretty steep grade. This forced us to be more intentional with our planning, which actually turned out to be a good thing. If you struggle physically, CG might not be for you.

Felipe/Yanet were amazing. We had Yanet cook dinner for us twice and each meal was delicious and affordable. Felipe provided private RT transport from PV and also took us snorkeling/WW. He was extremely professional.

“If you were looking for a really remote place with incredible views, this is your spot. As there are no cars in Yelapa, you’ll have to do a pretty decent hike to the property. It was a very cool experience though and the hosts provided some great support during our stay.”

“We stayed at Casa Gratitud with our two older teens and fell in love with everything about it— the house itself, the views, the natural surroundings, the town of Yelapa and its people. The owners, Steve and Bill, were very helpful and communicative from the very start. They shared all the information we needed well in advance of our arrival and were always available to answer any questions before and during our stay. The local hosts, Yanet and Felipe, are also wonderful. We paid Yanet to cook dinner for us one evening, and her food was fantastic. The house is incredibly well-maintained and stocked— by the far the best of any rental we’ve stayed in over our 30 years of travel. The owners have thought of everything, including redundant WiFi carriers so you always have internet service. Yelapa is a really special place, with many fun things to do and to explore, but the house itself was the highlight of our two weeks in Mexico (we were in San Pancho as well). Casa Gratitud is truly breathtaking- there are no other words to describe thr architecture and the views. We spent many hours sitting on the huge deck, with its views of the lights of Puerto Vallarta, the main beach in Yelapa, the surrounding jungle vegetation, and the ocean. We saw whales on at least 3 occasions and sat together talking under the stars at night. I could go on, but the gist is that you could spend all day at this house, never going anywhere, and have the best vacation.”

“My husband and I stayed here for 9 days and absolutely loved it. We had wonderful assistance to and from our accommodation and felt immediately at home. It was very helpful to have the option of grocery delivery the first evening so that we could stay in and relax after our travels and not worry about dinner or breakfast. The home is well stocked with basically anything you may need during your stay. There is essentially a very available team of people to help you with any questions or anything you may need, which we found very helpful. They were extremely responsive. The home itself is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. We could have stayed there the entire time without ever leaving and we would have been extremely happy. The wi-fi connection is excellent. We enjoyed so much wildlife viewing including whales, dolphins, various birds and butterflies. One evening we had a small bonfire in the provided clay pot and watched the moonrise! Highly recommend!!!”
